At least four people, including three security force members and a civilian, were killed when a truck bomb detonated near a compound that houses foreign workers in Kabul, an official said Tuesday.
Some 113 others, including 25 children, most of them civilians, were injured in the bombing near Green Village in the Afghan capital late Monday, Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid said.
"Tens of residential houses have been damaged due to the severity of the explosion," Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said Monday.
Green Village houses foreign NGOs, including the German Development Agency, and contractors in the Afghan capital.
The explosion was heard across the city and was the first major attack in Kabul this year.
Pictures on social media showed injured children and the destruction caused by the blast.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani condemned the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility.
Last year, 22 attacks in the city left 556 people dead and 1,024 others wounded.
