Afghanistan-Iran FMs discuss issues of mutual interest

Afghanistan-Iran Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Espanta in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki in the city of Mazare-e-Sharif on Saturday discussed issues of mutual interest with him.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, Mottaki appreciated Afghanistan government for its hospitality and called for continuous cooperation with Afghanistan.
He pointed out that those who have come from long distances are not familiar with the country and the region adding that solving Afghanistan problems needs regional tactics and lending people's affairs to themselves.
Espanta, for his part, appreciated Iran's management in holding ECO meeting in Tehran and expressed pleasure with chosen secretary general of the ECO from Afghanistan.
He called on Iran to attend all international and regional meetings concerning Afghanistan and help the country to solve its problems.
The two sides agreed that joint economic commission to be held in Tehran within the next 3 months.
Mottaki heading an Iranian delegation arrived in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif to attend a trilateral meeting of Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
